Pacific States Aviation (PSA) is located at Buchanan Field Airport (KCCR) also referred to as Concord Airport in the San Francisco East Bay city of Concord, California. Our convenient location is close to San Francisco, Oakland, Silicon Valley, and Napa Valley. One of the most important elements of successful professional pilot training program relates to location. Our location has many important advantages including ATC facilities, and an excellent instrument training environment. Our airport has more than 55 airports within 50 miles, complex airspace, and all year flying weather. Plus nothing can beat the beauty of the San Francisco Bay Area !
All our courses have received FAA approval under CFR 14, FAR Part 141. Part 141 syllabuses provide a building block learning structure for our students and a better guideline for our instructors. With proven results our FAA approved syllabuses cover five core areas of successful flight and ground training program. Aeronautical Knowledge, Flying Skill, Pilot Resource Management, Training Standards, and Communication.
With the proven record in training industry Cessna 172 is considered the leader. It is built very solid and practical to use and easy to fly. Our fleet also consist C172 with G1000 avionics. Excellent for instrument training. For our Multi Engine trainer we have a Piper Seminole and Piper Seneca II with turbo. For students to build solo cross country time and save money we also have a Cessna 152.
Sure, we have great flight training environment, very well-maintained aircrafts, and well-designed training syllabuses that are second-to-none, but it is our flight instructors and staff that really make the difference. Safety is their number one priority, and they focus on their student’s progress rather than building their flight time. Success of a flight training organization is a result of teamwork, and we are immensely proud of our team at Pacific States Aviation. We take care of our flight instructors and staff so they can take care of our customers and students.
